A new slot from Iron Dog Studios, released just in time for Halloween, Blood Queen is a dark and eerie slot that is perfectly suited to the season.

Vampires are not the most original theme for a slot to use, with the likes of Bloodsuckers and Dracula from NetEnt and Microgaming’s Immortal Romance setting the bar high for any slots that try and use the theme.

So, Blood Queen isn’t going to be able to just phone it in, this slot needs to impress.

About the slot

A five reel, 30 payline slot, Blood Queen is much darker looking than many of the other similarly themed slots. There is no playfulness here, this is a slot designed to have a horror-theme, and the impressive graphics, animations, and soundtrack do a lot to help this.

The Blood Queen, Van Hell, a vampire, and wooden stakes are some of the vampire themes symbols on the reels, which also includes J, Q, K, and A filler symbols.

The wild symbol is a gargoyle, and will expand to fill all positions on a reel when it appears on the top of a row (the only place it will land) and substitutes for all but the heart scatter symbol

Gameplay

Land three, four, or five scatter symbols for 20, 30, or 50 free spins in one of two modes.

The Van Hell Holy Water free spins feature sees any holy water symbols on the reels spread out until they cover four positions.

The Blood Queen Potion free spins feature sees the Blood Potion symbol appear at the top of reels and expand to fill them, before wandering across the reels between every free spin until it falls off the left-hand side.

A strong game with some innovative and exciting features, Blood Queen is a great addition to the already long list of Halloween slot game options.
