Pure Platinum is a video slot from Microgaming. The leaders in online casino software. It has five reels and 40 pay-lines. The good thing about having a high amount of pay-lines is that there is a higher chance of the player getting a winning combination. Pure Platinum has no progressive jackpot and offers low fixed jackpots, with the highest being only 1000 coins and the second highest being only 750 coins.
Theme
Given the name Pure Platinum, before you even play this game you can imagine what it is about. Everything in the slot game has a lustrous and metallic appearance, from the reels to the symbols.
Symbols
The symbols on the reels depict the theme and include Platinum Bars and Tablets. The platinum Ring and Watch are high value items made from platinum. The high value cards are also there and as if cast from platinum and are set in backgrounds of different colours. The Pure Platinum Logo is the wild symbol and the scatter symbol is the Platinum Disk.
Wild
The wild symbol is the Pure Platinum Logo and does not multiply payouts but offers the highest fixed jackpot of 1000 coins when five of these symbols appear in an active pay-line. However, the best thing is that it is a stacked wild, and will appear stacked in the normal spins and in free spins. When the stacks appear on the first two reels with all 40 paylines enabled the spin results in huge payouts.
Scatter
The scatter symbol is the Platinum Disk. Two or more scatter symbols appearing anywhere on the reels they result in scatter payouts. Five scatter symbols offer a payout of 100 times the total bet. Three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels trigger the free spins feature.
Free spins
Players are given a choice from three free spins options.
The first option gives 50 free spins at 1x multiplier.
The second option gives 25 free spins at 2x multiplier and,
the third option gives 10 free spins at 5x multiplier.
The player has to decide whether they wants a greater number of free spins or a higher multiplier. The three options are offered as three molds with buckets of liquid platinum above them. After the player makes his selection liquid platinum is poured into the chosen mold. The free spins cannot be re-triggered.
Gamble
Pure Platinum also offers Microgaming’s Gamble Game. Players have the chance to double or even quadruple each payout until the gamble limit is reached. The player clicks the Gamble button to activate the Gamble Game. A correctly chosen colour will double the payout and a correctly chosen suit will quadruple the payout.
