Smashing Casino Review
If you are a UK player, then a name like Smashing Casino might sound about as tea and crumpets as it gets, but alas, this is not the Smashing that is being referred to in this comic book themed casino site which was recently launched, and is trying, like so many others, to make an impact in the highly -competitive online casino market.
The levels of competition in the industry means that anything that gives a site an advantage is a definite positive, but the opposite is also true.
Unfortunately, it is the negative side of this that Smashing Casino has to do this, as it is operated by the Game Tech Group, who are attempting to rebuild their reputation after being found to be operating unethical practices in the past.
Although these issues appear to be something that Game Tech has left behind, there are players who need time and proof before they can trust the network again, which puts Smashing Casino in a tough position, because it has to prove the network’s worth as well as its own.
Design and theme
As mentioned earlier, Smashing Casino has a comic book theme, clearly looking to ride the wave of popularity that all things superhero themed are currently enjoying.
This means, obviously, a bright and bold colour scheme, but Smashing Casino ensures this doesn’t get too much by making the main colour here a gentle blue, which creates a subtle backdrop to the brighter colour schemes of the design work.
If you have played at or even just visited a Game Tech Group site before, chances are you’ll have a basic idea of how this site is put together, with game categories listed down the left-hand side, and a plethora of popular games available via one click through thumbnails on the homepage.
Whatever your opinion may be of Game Tech, and they are certainly mixed, this is a company that certainly knows how to put a site together. Perhaps the biggest criticism, however, is that all Game Tech sites look essentially the same, just with a different colour scheme and banner design, which means as attractive as Smashing Casino is, it doesn’t feel fresh in the slightest.
The main point that Game Tech sites slip up on, is in the limited selection of software developers providing the games, because, as with the design work, the gaming options are pretty much identical at every Game Tech site, which takes all the shine off any single site’s offerings.
If you are yet to have discovered a Game Tech site though, then you will probably be impressed by what is on offer, because games may only be supplied by BetSoft, GameART, and GameScale, but the range of gaming types is genuinely impressive.
Slots fans can enjoy a host of video slots, including newbies, old favourites, and jackpots, and a range of classic slots.
As well as that you’ll also find an array of table and card games, and some video poker titles as well. Add to that micro bet games, VIP games, and action games, and you will find something for pretty much every taste here.
A few extra software developers behind the games, or anything that separated the games available at Smashing Casino from any other online casino, and this would be a great site, but until either or both of those things are true, it’s just the same tired script again.
