Play N Go are back again with another Norse themed, Odin video slot which utilises the cluster pays mechanic. Odin: Protector of Realms is a 7 reel, hexahedron shaped slot due for release in July 2021.
The betting range is from 10p up to £100 a spin, with wins formed in clusters and cascading reels featuring after wins. It will be available to play on desktop, smartphones and tablets.
Odin: Protector of Realms Design
As the title suggests, Odin has been left to defend the realms as the other Gods go to defend Asgard which has come under attack. Odin stands to the right of the reels, protecting them, with the action taking place on the unusual layout.
The graphics are exceptional as you’d expect from Play N Go, and the symbols are all Norse themed. The lower values are blue, green, red and purple runes and the higher values are shields, hammers, swords and horns. Although the background does look more exciting that the reels.
Gameplay and Features
The cascading reels comes into play after you form a win. Winning symbols are removed and new ones cascade down to fill their positions and hopefully form another win. This continues until no more wins are formed.
Wins are formed when groups of the same symbol are all together, forming a cluster, rather than on lines like most traditional slot games.
With no demo game available at the moment, unfortunately we can’t tell you what other features will be available at present.
Verdict
Play N Go rarely produce a duff game, so we’re hoping Odin: Protector of Realms lives up to the hype. The other Odin slots have all been well received and the unusual design and excellent graphics are a positive sign.
It’s thought the RTP will be 96% and the maximum payout will be set at 5000x your stake which is pretty impressive.
