About
The game has an Aztec theme and takes place in a Mexican rainforest with the sun’s rays shining radiantly through lush green trees. The reels have a gilt frame and filled with colourful symbols that include J to the A card royals, masks, dragons, hawks, a headdress, a princess and a warrior who is the highest paying and will give you 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 5 or 50x your stake for 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6.
The wild is a pyramid and will substitute for all other symbols except the scatter.
With each spin, you will get between 2 and 7 symbols on each reel, the more symbols that fall, the more ways to win there are.
You will also see another reel/wheel at the top of the main reel set, it has 4 rows that spins independently but it will help with wins on the main set. The features include the following:
Cascading Reels feature – winning symbols will explode and new symbols fall into place, hopefully giving new winning combinations, this continues until no more wins are found.
Montezuma Re-spin Wheel feature – this can be triggered at random after a non-winning spin, it will give you another chance of finding a win and if you get the Montezuma symbol on the Wheel, it gives you the chance of a better win.
Free Spins Bonus feature – this is triggered when you get 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You will then spin a wheel to see how many free spins you will be awarded, the maximum is 25.
Each win in the feature will add to the Unlimited Win Multiplier and increase it by 1 for every win with no limits.
Montezuma Multipliers feature – during the feature above if you get 2 or more scatters, this feature will be triggered. You will spin the Montezuma Multipliers Wheel, you could get a multiplier as high as 100x added to the current multiplier on any free spins that are still left to play.
Bonus Guarantee feature – this means that if your wins are less than 30x your total stake from the free spins, you will be given 30x instead.
We loved Montezuma MegaWays, it’s a super fun game to play. We enjoyed the colourful graphics and the pure Aztec soundtrack. The original game was excellent but with the added MegaWays engine, gives you so much more. You need to find those multipliers in the Free Spins Bonus feature to get the big wins. If you’re lucky you could see wins of up to 12,500x your stake on every spin/free spin.
