Take a journey to the mountains of Nepal with ELK Studio’s brand-new slot, Katmandu Gold. This video slot is a medium to high variance game with an RTP of 96.2% and you can bet from 20p to £100 a spin. Features include a mega symbol, multipliers, multiway, wilds and bonus buy.
Katmandu Gold
This is a seriously impressive design and the detailed graphics are truly impressive. We’re in Katmandu with the main character Kane, who is searching for inner peace after taking a break from travelling the globe for hidden treasure. It is here where he finds the temple gold. There are snow-capped mountains in the background and a rhythmic, mystical soundtrack to compliment the theme.
The reels are set within two stone pillars and symbols include J to A Royals, which are the lower values, and tigers, falcons, tigers and gold dragons as the higher value symbols. The wild symbol is the gold lotus and substitutes any other symbol except the ice climber and bonus symbol.
Gameplay and Features
ELK have excelled in all aspects with this game and there are 6 bonus features here. When you get any winning combination the Avalanche feature begins. The winning symbols explode and are replaced by new symbols dropping down. An extra row of symbols is also added up to a maximum of 8 rows, giving you 262,144 ways to win!
The expanding win feature happens when an expanding wild is part of a winning combo. The symbol expands and replaces any symbol it takes over.
The Big Symbol feature is when any symbol or wild lands as a super-size. They can be either x2 or x4 the size and increase your winning potential.
When 2 or more ice climber symbols land, this triggers the ‘Ice Climber’ and these symbols are replaced by higher value symbols. Any empty spaces are filled with wilds and if you trigger this feature on the 8th row, an extra row is added, giving you 531,441 ways to win.
Free spins are triggered when you land bonus symbols. 3 bonuses give you 10 free spins, all the way up to 6 bonuses which give you 25 free spins.
Verdict
ELK have improved on every aspect of the series so far. The graphics are excellent, it is packed with additional features and it’s the best so far in the series. Top win is 10,000 your stake which is also pretty decent!
