Ishatar Power Zones Design
The visuals are rather impressive here, we have a pyramid with a bright shard of light shooting out of the top to the left of the reels and a rugged mountain range to the right. The graphics are excellent and there is an Arabian style soundtrack to add to the atmosphere.
The reels are set within an ornate gold and blue carved frame and have a dark blue background. Symbols are 9 to A royals as the lower values and various gems, jewels and the horse God as the higher values. Ishtar herself is the most rewarding, paying 1x your stake for 6 on a payline.
Gameplay and Features
The power zones features comes into play when any random symbol that lands becomes charged. The area around the charged symbol becomes the power zone which can then connect in both directions to form larger power zones. When a charged symbol ands in the power zone, all the symbols in the zone become charged and a new payout is calculated.
At any point, lightning bolts appear from the pyramid and Ishtar appears. She then delivers one of three features. You can receive either a number of random wilds placed on the reels, a number of respins where symbols in the power zones can increase and also receive a multiplier, or all the symbols within a power zone changed to the same symbol.
Verdict
Visually this is impressive, and the gameplay matches up as well. It’s a nice break from the plethora of Ancient Greece or Egyptian themed slots and the 10,000x top prize is very attractive too.
