Frozen Gems Design
This arctic themed slot sees you alone after being separated from your group, but if you’re lucky you’ll find treasure hidden in the ice. The graphics are nice and crisp, but it really does look just like the Disney film Frozen; even the way ‘Frozen’ is written, looks exactly like the film.
There are snow-capped mountains in the background and symbols include 10 to A royals as the lower values and coloured gems as the higher values. The W symbol is the wild and can substitute any other. 5 on a payline will also pay out 2.5x your wager.
Gameplay and Features
The cascading reels feature is triggered whenever you land a win. When this happens, winning symbols are removed and new ones cascade down to fill their places and hopefully form winning combinations.
There is also a Bonus Reel feature too. The bonus reel sits about the main reels and remain frozen in place until you unlock it. To do this, you’ll need to land 3 winning symbols or scatters, then one of several options will take place. Either all the symbols turn to wilds, all symbols on a reel will split into 2 or all symbols on the reel will split into 3. These additional symbols increase your chances, giving you 8,748 possible ways to win.
If you land 3 scatters, you’ll trigger the Frozen Spins feature which pays you 5x your wager and gives 9 free spins. You’ll also receive a multiplier on each cascading win too.
Verdict
The theme isn’t anything unusual, but the gameplay is decent enough. The frozen spins feature with multipliers can pay out well and the splitting symbols aspect is the main feature. The lower RTP and potential jackpots may put off some.
