A legal storm is gathering in the crash game sector as Spribe has publicly accused PopOK Gaming of infringing its intellectual property rights. The allegations were aired via a strongly worded LinkedIn post, sparking immediate industry attention.

In the statement, Spribe asserted its position as the sole owner of the intellectual property rights to Aviator, including multiple trademark registrations and certifications in over 30 regulated jurisdictions. The Kyiv-based studio claims PopOK Gaming has distributed a copycat crash game under the Aviator name and actively approached Spribe’s operator clients with misleading claims.

“These games are not authorized by us and infringe upon Spribe’s intellectual property rights,” the company said. “They mislead players by falsely associating their game with our brand.”

Spribe has warned online casino operators to audit their platforms for any unauthorised versions of Aviator, and to remove infringing content immediately, hinting at potential legal consequences. Sweden Warns and Fines Spribe Over Unlicensed Operator Distribution

The Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA) has issued a warning and fined crash game developer Spribe SEK5,000 (€466) after finding its games were available on several unlicensed gambling websites accessible to Swedish players.

The regulator launched an investigation following inspections carried out in November 2025, which identified Spribe titles on platforms operating without a Swedish gambling licence. Under Sweden's Gambling Act, licensed software suppliers are prohibited from providing gaming content to unlicensed operators.

Spribe told the SGA that it had already addressed the issue by removing its games from the affected websites and strengthening its compliance procedures. The supplier explained that some of the identified sites were protected by geoblocking technology, preventing access from Swedish IP addresses, while games found on other platforms were removed as soon as the company became aware of the situation.

The company also stated that certain games appearing on one website were unauthorised copies of its software, which it described as intellectual property infringement.

Spribe distributes its content through aggregator partners rather than entering direct agreements with every operator. According to the supplier, these partners are contractually required to only offer its games to licensed operators that comply with local regulations.

Despite these mitigating factors, the SGA concluded that Spribe had breached Chapter 11, Section 6e of Sweden's Gambling Act. The regulator stressed that software suppliers remain responsible for ensuring their products are not made available through unlicensed operators, even when distribution is handled by third parties.

While the authority described the breach as significant, it noted Spribe's swift response, use of geoblocking measures, and willingness to rectify the issue. As a result, the regulator opted for a formal warning rather than pursuing licence revocation.

The SEK5,000 penalty represents the minimum fine available under Swedish regulations. Spribe reported Swedish market revenue of SEK76,101 (€7,110) in 2024, with financial penalties capped at 10% of turnover from licensed activities during the previous financial year.
