As October approaches, there are certain themes that slot designers are moving to the front of the list, Halloween is one, and of course Christmas is looming, but there’s another popular theme emerging, Oktoberfest.

About the slot

A recent addition to the Oktoberfest slot clan, Wunderfest Deluxe sticks very much on tone, with a cartoon style, playful design theme that includes lots of beer, traditional German outfits, and more.
Various characters appear on the reels, as do beer mugs, pretzels, sausages, and more. The beer keg plays the scatter symbol, we’ll get to that, and the two beer mug symbol plays the wild and will substitute for all but the scatter, as well as paying out an impressive 1,000x your stake for five on a payline.
Gameplay
While there isn’t a huge need for innovation in a slot with such a simple theme, Booming Games still bring a bit in the shape of vertical paylines, which pay out for matching symbols on a single reel, and will add a 3x multiplier to any wins.
Land three or more of the scatter symbol and you will trigger the Free Spins round, which, to be honest, doesn’t offer much, it can’t be re-triggered, and there’s no modifiers in play, but 10 free spins can still lead to some nice wins if you’re lucky.
The vertical paylines mechanic is an interesting one here, but beyond that, Wunderfest Deluxe is a slot focused more on fun than on complex gameplay, and that’s fine!
