Red Tiger Gaming’s latest slot release Thor’s Lightning is themed on Norse mythology and is based on Thor the God of Thunder. The slot used the cascading reels engine. Will Thor wield his mighty hammer and reward you with a big win?
About the slot
Thor’s Lightning has 7 reels and no paylines as such as it uses the cluster pays engine. The reels sit on a background of icy mountains with rocks falling all around. It is playable from 20p per spin up to £40 per spin. Lower value symbols consist of 4 different coloured rune stones, whilst the higher value symbols are a wolf, an eagle, Thor’s hammer and the tree of life all carved into stone.
Landing 5 or more matching symbols in a cluster will give you a winning combination.
Bonus features
The Lightning Strike and Hammer strike are both activated at random, the lightening will remove the lower value symbols or transform random symbols into matching symbols which could also be wild symbols. If Thor throws his hammer at the reels where symbols can be removed or nudged this could reward you with a winning combination.
You will see a block of 9 free spins in the centre of the reels, landing a winning combination next to them will unlock the block it touches, unlocking them all on the same spin will activate one of the following:
Muspell free spins will remove low value symbols from the reels with the addition of another 2 features, one is the Lava Shower which will remove one or more symbols and give you a free spin, the other is the Lava Flow which will add matching symbols on adjoining reels to guarantee you a win.
Valhalla Spins will remove all the symbols from the reels and replace them with golden shields which will lock where they land on the reels, when the free spins come to an end, the shields will flip over and will reveal multipliers, which will be added up and paid out according to your wager. Red Tiger Gaming have certainly pushed the boat out with this one. The RTP is a respectable 95.1%
