Superstars is a new release from one of the leading software developers NetEnt. It’s a major release featuring famous characters from previous NetEnt slots like Gonzo from Gonzo’s Quest, Finn from Finn and the Swirly Spin, and even the Starburst logo features in this new release.

The setup is impressive set on a backdrop of a stage shrouded with colourful rainbows and bright lights. The reels sit in the middle of the stage encased in a blue screen, overall, the graphics are sharp and vibrant, and the sparkly aspects add to the stage set atmosphere.
Low-value symbols are represented by colourful royal card suits, while the premium symbols are characters from other highly successful NetEnt slots. These include Gonzo, Fin, Brute, Lady Pig, and the Starburst logo.

Gameplay and Features
There are a few bonus features in Superstars which are extremely exciting and have lots of potentials, let’s take a look.
To enter the free spins, you’ll need 3 or more diamond scatters for 3 free spins. There is the potential to grab more free spins if more diamond scatters or multipliers appear during the initial free spins. Look out for the dice, it can only land on the fifth reel on the triggering spin, it brings an additional feature.
Around the edge of the reels is a board game, you roll the die to move along a position on the board. Each position could contain a multiplier or a bonus feature:
Fin – +5 adds up to 5 multipliers, these combine into a single symbol
Miss Banks – as many as 15 multipliers are added
Gonzo – as many as 24 multipliers are added
Starburst – 3 vertical multipliers added
Space Wars – 3 of the highest multipliers are cloned and 3 respins are awarded, with only cloned multipliers in play
Extra Spin – The spins increase from 3 to 4
Extra Life – After crossing the board the Extra Life is awarded, once the spins are used the meter resets
There is a Wheel of Fortune, it spins and awards additional dice rolls, multiplier boosts, or a random feature.
The free spins come to an end when you run out of spins or if all, the multiplier positions are filled, if this is the case a final game is played, and all positions on the board barring two are filled with values of up to 1,000x the bet.
Verdict
NetEnt has played a blinder with Superstars. It’s a superb slot packed with many bonus features and most importantly famous characters from some of its most iconic slots. The bonus round is not only engaging it has the potential to pay extremely well, all in all, a fantastic addition to NetEnt’s already impressive portfolio of games.
