Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior from gaming developer NetEnt takes you back to the 90’s with Capcom’s Iconic arcade video game. The slot offers a 5×5 grid, multipliers and a host of features.

Street Fighter 2 is a medium to high variance video slot played across a 5×5 grid and utilises the cluster pays mechanic. Street Fighter 2 is based on the original NetEnt slot released in 1991. During the game, the setting changes depending on which character you play.
Symbols on the grid include J to A royals, 2 victory symbols and 2 defeat symbols, these can appear as 2×2 symbols and pay up to 30x for a cluster of 16 or more. There are also 8-character symbols, each with their own Wild Combo feature.
Gameplay and Features
The game uses the Cluster Pays engine with 25 symbols falling in to place on each spin, 4 or more matching symbols are needed to trigger the Avalanche, winning symbols are then taken away and new symbols take their place.
When the fight begins a health bar will appear, one will reduce to zero. The Car Smash Bonus game is triggered when a player is defeated or the Beat the Boss game is triggered if they win.
There are 8 fighters, each with their own features and a Wild Gauge to which one point is added for each high paying symbol winning cluster. When their Wild Gauge has 7 points in, their modifier is triggered.
Dhalsim – he will add 3 or 4 wilds on the grid.
Honda– he will add 3 wild symbols on the same reel.
Ryu– he will add 3 wild symbols on the same row.
Zangief – he will add 2 horizontal stacks of 2 wild symbols
Chun Li – he will add 2 or 7 wild symbols at random
Blanka – he will add 1 or 5 wild symbols on the same reel
Ken – he will add 1 or 5 wild symbols on the same row.
The Car Smash Bonus is triggered when a fighter loses and you are given between 5 and 15x your stake.
The Beat the Boss Free Spins triggers if the battle is won, the bonus game continues until someone is defeated, so there are no set amount of spins given. Boss levels also now come with a win multiplier, unlike during the base game.
There are 4 bosses:
Balrog has a 2x multiplier
Vega has a 3x Multiplier
M Bison has a 10x multiplier
Sagat has a 5x multiplier.
If you manage to beat all of them, you are given an extra 100x your stake.
The Insert Coin Gamble feature – you can re-start a level if you lose to a boss but this can only be used once during the Free Spins feature and you have to pay for the pleasure
Street Fighter 2 looks superb with great graphics and exciting gameplay, very similar to the video game. It did take a while to understand the game but once you get the gist, it’s a really nice game to play, but we suggest you play the free demo first to get the hang of it.
