Storms of Ice has a Viking theme while being set within a changing backdrop. You’ll begin with lush green hills, blue skies and tranquil calms waters, which transform into ice covered mountain, cold skies and a frozen lake.
The graphics are really excellent and everything on this slot is highly detailed and well thought through.
Symbols are Norse style 10 to A royals as lower values, with a wolf, an owl, a warrior, a female and a bearded older man as the premiums.
Gameplay and Features
There are gold wilds and silver wilds which land in stacks of 3 and spin. The gold wilds land on the 2nd, 3rdand 4th reels and the silver wild lands on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th reels.
The Golden Wild Respin feature triggers when you land a stack of gold wilds. Any additional wilds not in a stack will just substitute for a regular symbol. The Ice King appears to the right and all the wilds move to the left as a respin takes place. This continues until all the wilds have vanished from the left of the reels.
During the feature, the multiplier increases up to 5x and when there are no more wilds, the feature ends.
There are also 3 progressive PowerPlay jackpots available; the Mini which pays £200, the Peak which pays £3,000 and the Mega which has an unlimited top prize.
Verdict
The design of this slot is beautiful, and although there aren’t many bonus features, there was still plenty of action and excitement, especially during the Golden Wild Respins. The progressive jackpots are also going to attract players too.
