Released on 3rd February 2026, Monopoly Rush Hour is a video slot developed by Big Time Gaming that reworks the classic board game into a multiplier-led masterpiece. Tokens fly from each corner and advance around the board once the time Dice Symbol lands, increasing its starting multipliers as high as 500x.
Landing on houses and hotels awards the attached cash prize, while CHANCE and COMMUNITY CHEST trigger a Card Bonus during the base game for additional modifiers. The focus here is simple: land dice, increasing multipliers, and plenty of hidden extras. Monopoly Rush Hour is the next instalment in a long list of Monopoly-inspired slots, but has Big Time Gaming done enough to top the trend? Read on for more information.
Technical
Monopoly Rush Hour features 4 reels and 256 winning ways. It is available on both desktop and mobile devices with spins ranging from 20p to £20. The slot is classed as highly volatile with an average RTP of 96.51% so slightly above the average for online slots. In terms of max win, Monopoly Rush Hour offers a potential of up to 28,600x the bet.
Design and Symbols
Monopoly Rush Hour, developed by Big Time Gaming, is based on the iconic board game developed by Weddington’s, which was released in the UK in 1936. Although not to everyone’s taste, slot developers have released countless slot games based on the board game principle and this time BTG have taken a punt on it. The graphics are excellent, with the main playing board in the centre of the screen surrounded by a gold border. The reels sit in the centre of the game board with properties, hotels, Community and Chance, train stations, utilities and more scattered around. It is a classy setup, with Mr Monopoly sitting in his car in the top-right corner.
On the reels are low-value card suits, along with high-value playing pieces: the dog, car, ship, and top hat. The Wild is a glowing M and acts as a substitute to help with winning combos. The Chance and Community Chest are the Scatters, but more on them later.
Features
Tokens are a main feature in Monopoly Rush Hour, along with increasing multipliers, free spins and card bonuses.
Monopoly Board
The game starts with tokens in all four corners, while houses and hotels are randomly placed around the board. Each Token can boost its starting multiplier to 500x. If a dice symbol lands on the car, ship, dog or hat, it triggers the Token. The number on the Dice determines how far the Tokens move, every 3 spaces the multiplier increases by +1. If a Token lands on a House or Hotel, an instant prize is awarded.
Card Bonuses
Tokens travel around the playing board, and if a Token lands on a Chance or Community Chest, a Card Bonus triggers. The Token can move to a new position, move 3 spaces forward or backwards, award a cash prize or trigger the Free Spins bonus.
Free Spins
The Free Spins trigger through the Chance and Community Chest cards, awarding 12 Free spins. Each additional trigger awards a further 6 extra Spins.
During Free Spins, the Token positions and multipliers remain persistent, allowing momentum to build. Landing an Electric Company or Water Works awards an instant prize equal to your Token multiplier multiplied by your stake. Landing on train stations awards between 1 and 15 extra spins, depending on how many tokens land.
If a Token lands on a Chance or Community Chest, a card appears and reveals a modifier:
Move the Token 2 to 12 positions
Add between 2 and 12 houses
Multiplier boost by 2-12 steps
If all properties are upgraded to hotels, each Token multiplier receives a boost of +50 to +250.
Power Play and Bonus Buy-In (Not available in the UK)
There’s the option to choose Power Play before each spin for 8x the bet. You are guaranteed a Dice roll on each spin, and a higher chance of increased multipliers and free spin triggers.
There is also an option to buy into the Free Spins for 110x the bet for 12 Free Spins.
Verdict
Monopoly Rush Hour is a progression-led slot where Tokens, Dice Rolls and Multipliers are integral to the game. It is highly volatile, so expect long dry spells, but as you progress through the game, the payouts increase thanks to more Tokens, Dice Rolls and multipliers. It’s more like a board game than a slot, and that is exactly as it should be to stand out in an oversaturated Monopoly slot genre.
