Medusa’s Eye, the latest slot from Edict, is based on the story of Medusa Gorgon, who had snakes for hair and would turn men to stone if they looked into her eyes. This 5×3 slot features free spins, wilds, sticky wilds and scatters and is available to play on all devices.

You can spin the reels from just 10p up to £20 a go and the top prize available is 1000x your stake. It has an RTP of 96.31% and appears to have a medium volatility.

Medusa’s Eyes Design

The game is set within some kind of dark stone building with tall stone pillars and archways, lit up by a green light, set behind the reels. The graphics are very clear and crisp, and the dark reels allows the detailed symbols to stand out nicely.

Symbols include the lower value 9 to A, and these are joined by a bag of coins, pots, a helmet, body armour and Pegasus who pays up to 50x your stake. There is also a solider who is the wilds and Medusa herself, who is the scatter.

Gameplay and Features

The soldier wild can substitute all other symbols except the scatter to help you form winning combinations.

You will need to land at least 3 Medusa scatters on a single spin to trigger the free spins round. 3 scatters give you 10 free spins, 4 give you 15 free spins and 5 give you 20 free spins. Any additional scatters that land give you an additional free spin.

The Medusa scatter can also turn the soldier wilds into stone. If there is a wild on the reels at the same time as the Medusa scatter, the wild becomes sticky for the remainder of the free spins to increase your chances of winning.

Verdict

Medusa’s Eyes has a really nice design, but it does fall flat in terms of features. It’s a nice, easy slot to play, so casual players might enjoy it, but there may not be enough action to attract more experienced players or those looking for innovative gameplay.
