Maui Mischief Design
This is a really pretty, visually striking slot, with bright bold colours and cartoon style graphics. There are mountains with tropical greenery, palm trees and clear blue skies in the background. It does, however, look like the majority of other Tiki themed slots.
Symbols consist of different coloured royals, with native men and women, a sun, moon and a hook scatter. The wild is the Tiki and can replace all standard symbols.
Gameplay and Features
The action takes place on 5×3 reels and wilds can land singularly and stacked. Stacked wilds also deliver a 2x multiplier.
The hook scatter triggers the Maui Hook feature and you’ll need at least 3 on a spin to activate this. You’ll then choose one of those scatters to reveal the number of free spins. If you land 4 scatters, you’ll get 2 picks and 5 scatters lets you have 3 picks.
During the free spins round, you can land multiple wilds and stacked wilds and there is also a 3x multiplier applied to all winnings to boost your total.
The free spins can also be retriggered when you land at least another 3 scatters on a single spin.
Verdict
This is a pretty straightforward slot with fairly basic features. But it has a beautiful design and there’s just about enough happening to keep you engaged. The top prize is great though and the RTP is slightly above average.
