Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake Design
This is a stunning design in all aspects. The HD graphics are highly detailed, and all the colours blend with each other beautifully. The reels are framed by entwined vines and branches and are transparent, allowing you to see the beautiful lake scene behind. The lake is filled with lily pads and there are lush green trees in the distance.
Symbols are 10 to A royals which are all twisted vines and are the lower values. They’re joined by Merlin’s hat, Merlin’s staff, Merlin himself, a lion crest and the Lady of the Lake. Merlin is the most valuable symbol, paying up to 1000x your stake for 5 on a payline. The Lady of the Lake is the wild and replaces all other symbols apart from the wild scatter (which is the Excalibur symbol). She too pays up to 1000x for 5 in a combination.
Gameplay and Features
To trigger the free spins, you need at least 3 scatters to start off with 8 free spins. A random symbol is chosen to become the expanding symbol and depending on which symbol this is, you win various amounts. At the lower end are the 10, J and Q which pay 100x your stake, rising all the way up to Merlin who will pay 10,000x your stake.
The Excalibur Spin feature activates in the free spins round and the scatter symbol turns into a wild. You need at least 2 scatters to trigger the Excalibur spins and the more scatters, the higher pay out you’ll receive.
Verdict
There is nothing innovative in this game, but it is very beautiful with some really nice prizes. The key is triggering the expanding symbols and free spins, and we’re sure players will enjoy it.
