Pragmatic Play is back with a new release for 2024 with a Greek mythology-inspired slot, Loki’s Riches. The game draws inspiration from one of the most fascinating figures in Norse mythology, Loki. Standing at the side of the grid, Loki, with a gold-horned helmet and impressive golden outfit, echoes images of the character Marvel brought to life.
About Loki’s Riches
Set against a sky illuminated by the Northern lights, Loki stands beside the grid, spear in hand, exuding a sense of mischief. During the free spins, the atmosphere shifts dramatically, transitioning into a fiery, lava-filled hell, adding to the theme’s atmosphere.
Bets range between 20p up to £240 per spin. With high volatility and an RTP of 96.04%, Loki’s Riches delivers an intense and rewarding experience with a maximum win of 10,000x the bet.
Loki’s Riches features 9 regular pay symbols, including 5 coloured rune stones representing the low-values alongside higher-value symbols like a round object, a hammer, a ring, and a golden Loki symbol. Notably, the game does not include wild symbols. However, a purple book scatter triggers the free spins.
Gameplay and Features
After each winning cluster, the tumble feature triggers. Winning symbols are removed and replaced with new ones, providing multiple opportunities for wins on a single spin.
During the base game, special expanding symbols can appear randomly. Random symbols are chosen to become expanding symbols. Like regular symbols in a winning clusters that disappear, these expanding symbols do not, instead it expands into a large 2×2 block per symbol, creating a group of 4 identical symbols. Any wins containing this symbol are calculated and paid out following an expansion.
The special expanding symbols typically occur towards the right and down. If there’s an overlap where expanding symbols cover the same position, they are counted as a single symbol, adding a strategic element to the gameplay.
The Free Spins feature is triggered by landing 4 or more Scatter Symbols. Initially, you are awarded 10 Free Spins. However, the feature can be retriggered by landing additional Scatter Symbols, with each retrigger awarding 10 Free Spins to your tally.
During the Free Spins, a paying symbol is chosen randomly to act as the Special Expanding Symbol throughout the Free Spins. This ensures that each spin within the feature has the potential for expanded wins.
If you want to jump to the free spins feature, you can buy in at 100x your bet for 10 free spins. This option is not available to players in the UK.
Conclusion
Loki’s Riches is an innovative slot that blends Norse mythology with innovative gameplay. Developed by Pragmatic Play, you are on a mythological journey with Loki. The unique features, including special expanding symbols and the Free Spins with a randomly selected expanding symbol, add depth and excitement to the gameplay.
