Inspired by the legend of Camelot, the magical theme features the reels set in front of huge metal gates with gargoyles, a green mist shrouded forest turns blue in the Boom+ mode. Symbols include low value royals, bottles of blue, yellow, purple, green and red potions, the latter is worth 10x for 5 on a payline.
Lady Merlin is the wild and has no value, but it substitutes all symbols barring the mystic ball scatter and the collect symbol.
Gameplay
There are two modes to Lady Merlin Lightning Chase, regular or the Boom+ mode. The Boom+ once activated costs extra but comes with more lucrative features.
The wild only lands on reels 2 & 4 and comes with a 2x multiplier.
If you choose the Boom+, it lands on reels 2, 3 & 4 and substitutes the collect and scatter symbols.
In regular mode, 6 or more Lightning coil symbols trigger the respins. The triggering symbols remain sticky for the duration of the respins in the hope of landing more coil symbols. Additional lightning coils, wilds or collect symbols reset the respins to 3. Each lightning coil on the reels at the end of the respins have prizes between 1x and 100x, these are added up and paid out.
If you chose the Boom+ mode, both the wilds and collect symbols work the same. Their prizes are also collected from the lightning coils.
The free spins are only triggered when the Boom+ is active. 3 or more scatters award 10 free spins. During the free spins an increasing multiplier is active, starting at 1x increasing after each additional scatter or wild landing along with another free spin.
Verdict
Lady Merlin Lightning Chase provides a few unique features and is worth a look. Activating the Boom+ delivers much more lucrative features and a higher RTP, but this will cost you.
