Microgaming have released Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx which is the sequel to the popular Jungle Jim El Dorado slot. Join the intrepid adventurer as he journeys deep into the Egyptian desert in his quest to find the hidden treasures. The slot uses the Rolling Reels mechanic and offers you progressive multipliers and expanding reels and has an RTP of 96.1%.

About the slot

Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx is a 5 reel, 4 row, 35 payline slot which is playable on all devices and the reels can be expanded to 5×5 with 50 paylines as you progress through the levels. Spinning the reels will cost you from 10p up to £20 per go.

The reels are set inside the entrance to a stone temple with engraved pillars with a star filled desert background. Symbols include blue, red green and gold gemstone which all have the lower value, then we have wooden chests, amphoras, books and Jungle Jim himself who has the highest value, landing 3, 4 or 5 on a payline will pay out x1, x2.5 or x10 of your wager respectively.

The wild symbol is the Jungle Jim logo and will only appear on reels 2-5.

Gameplay

If you land a winning combination, the winning symbols will fall from the reels and be replaced by new ones. Consecutive wins will see the multiplier increase from x2 up to x10, when the multiplier reaches x4  you will see a 5×5 set of reels with 50 paylines.

When you land no more winning combinations the multiplier will reset back to x1.  The second chance re-spin will come into play after your third spin if you have no winning combination.

Landing 3 or more scatter symbols on the reels will give you 12 bonus spins which will be played on 50  paylines, 3 scatters will also pay out x5 your wager, 4 will give you x10 your wager and 5will give you x20 of your wager.

During the bonus spins the multiplier will start from x2 then x3, x4, x10 x20 when you land consecutive wins.

You can also purchase the Win Booster which will give you an extra scatter symbol and increase your chances.

Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx was such fun to play, I liked the crisp graphics and animations as well as the increasing reel layout. It is a high variance slot and you can potentially pocket up to 6,250 of your wager if you manage to reach the x20 multiplier.
