Jackpot Hunter

Pragmatic Play takes you on a jungle adventure with Jackpot Hunter, a new release for July 2024. The highly volatile slot features an Indiana Jones vibe and is set in a lush jungle complete with old temple ruins and cascading waterfalls. Pragmatic has gone all out with the graphics – they are stunning – so let’s hope the gameplay is equally impressive.

About Jackpot Hunter

Jackpot Hunter is a 5-reel video slot with 25 paylines. Its available on desktop and mobile devices from 20p to £240 per spin. The game is highly volatile, with a default RTP of 96% and a max win of 5,000x the bet.

As mentioned earlier, Pragmatic Play has done a great job with the graphics; they are stunning. Set in a dense forest, it evokes images of a quiet, tranquil space with waterfalls, beautiful flowers, and lush greenery.

The low-paying symbols are not the usual card icons; they are a gun, a torch, a whip, a pair of binoculars and a grenade. The higher-paying symbols are a map, a backpack, a crocodile, and a male and female hunter. The wild acts as the substitute to help form winning combinations, and there are 3 special symbols that trigger the bonuses.

Gameplay and Features

Jackpot Hunter comes with various bonus features, including the Wild, Treasure Map, Free Spins and a Buy-In:

Bonus Map

The Bonus Map triggers when a Bonus symbol lands on reels 1, 3 and 5 on a single spin. A bonus wheel and a Map appear, and you get to spin the wheel to determine how many steps you’ll take on the Map. You spin the wheel 5 times, and each spin generates between 1 to 8 steps. Each step awards an instant cash prize of between 2x and 20x or a jackpot. When you get 3 jackpots, you’ll win the Mini, Major or Grand jackpot, worth 25x, 100x or 2500x, respectively. If you get 4 Jackpots, you’ll get either the Grand or Major. If you get 5 Jackpots, you’ll win the Grand Jackpot.

Jackot Hunter Free Spins

The Free Spins trigger if 3 Scatters land on a spin, awarding 12 Free Spins. A Jackpot symbol appears during the feature, and landing 3 on a spin awards the Mini, Major or Grand jackpots. 4 Jackpot symbols award either the Major or the Grand. Another 3 Scatters on a spin retriggers the Free Spins.

The Bonus Map can be purchased for 20x the current bet, and the free spins for 60x.

Conclusion

Jackpot Hunter does what it says on the tin. The features are not what you would call groundbreaking and have been seen in many slots previously. However, there are possibilities to bag decent wins, but hitting the Grand jackpot is where the money is. In fairness, the bonus features and the Map appear frequently so it doesn’t become boring. For slot fans who enjoy the thrill of chasing jackpots, then, Jackpot Hunter is a great choice. Couple that with a lower volatility and a max win of 5,000x, It’s worth a look.
