Play N Go have another release up their sleeves for March 2021, with House of Doom 2 The Crypt, a follow up to House of Doom. Features include expanding symbols, wilds and an RTP range. It’s a high variance game with an RTP of 94.25% and bets from 20p up to £100 per spin. The maximum pay out is 6000x your stake.
House of Doom 2 The Crypt Design
This is a dark, creepy design, just as you’d expect from the title, and there is a great heavy metal soundtrack accompanying it.
We’re inside a crypt with ornate statues flanking the reels and a purple glow coming from behind the tomb. The dark reels contain the gothic looking symbols which include the 10 to A royals in dark red, along with a flower, a candle, a dagger and a skull. The skull is the most valuable paying up to 10x your stake for 5 on a payline. In addition, there are 3 wilds in the base game and an extra wild if you trigger the Crypt Spins feature.
Gameplay and Design
There is a spirit gate that can land on a position at random during the main game. If a wild then lands within that spirit gate, it triggers various modifiers and respins. You can have either the Fire Mistress Feature if the Fire Mistress wild lands, which gives you a random multiplier up to 10x your stake. Or if the Queen of the Damned wild lands, additional spirit gates are added for more re-spins in the hope of landing more expanding wilds.
If you land a scatter on the 1st, 3rd or 5th reel you’ll trigger the free spins with a modifier. The modifier depends on the current zone you’re in and ranges from expanding wilds to random mulitpliers.
If you land 3 flaming crypt scatters in the free spins, you’ll receive 8 Crypt Spins. Then, if you manage to land the Spirit of Unity wild in the Spirit Gate, 3 of the Spirit Gate features are added to your win total.
Verdict
If you enjoyed the first House of Doom, or just scary themed slots in general, you’ll enjoy this. The design is great and there are some nice features in the gameplay that can lead to some decent wins.
