Coming from Novomatic’s Stakelogic, Great Wars is a slot that is arguably even more epic in its tone than its very on the nose title suggests.
Fantasy themed slots are becoming increasingly popular after the huge success of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, so Great Wars finds itself immediately in direct competition with many top quality slots from an array of top quality slot developers.
About the slot
With five reels and 20 paylines, Great Wars is playable from 20p to £20 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
The timeless fantasy war between elves and men takes centre stage here, and players are able to choose a side, playing as either the Elf Princess, or the human King.
Symbols on the reels include weapons, soldiers, and more, as well as J, Q, K, and A symbols playing the part of lower values.
A five of a kind combination on a payline can pay up to 1,500x your bet here, with 5,000 times your stake on offer if you land five wilds on a payline.
The wild will, of course, also substitute for all symbols bar the scatter to help with winning combinations.
Gameplay
The scatter symbols are too fold here, because as well as triggering the main feature, they will also pay 80, 120, or 400x your stake for three, four, or five respectively.
Land three or more of the scatters and you’ll also trigger the Great Wars Free Spins feature, you’ll be granted up to 15 spins with all wild symbols that land expanding to fill the whole reel to add the chance for some hefty wins if you’re lucky.
Great Wars isn’t bringing anything particularly new in terms of either gameplay or concept, but everything is done very well here, making this a very good slot.
