Ghost Father is a new release from the innovative, creative developer Peter & Sons, launched in August 2024. Since 2020, Peter and Sons has been creating slots exclusively for Yggdrasil’s YGS Master programme, and its portfolio of excellent slots can be found at Yggdrasil online casinos.
Known for their distinctive artistic style and creative themes, Peter & Sons has delivered another unique and engaging slot with Ghost Father. The game combines elements of humour with a supernatural feel, offering a playful twist on the classic mafia theme by introducing a ghostly mob boss who rules the underworld.
About Ghost Father
Ghost Father is not scary by any means. It’s more of a humorous take on the mafia boss who is not of this world. Set in a haunted house, it’s riddled with spider webs weaving through the furniture and ghostly portraits adorning the walls.
On the reels are the low-value card suits and 5 matching awards between 10x and 15x the bet. The weird portraits are the high-paying symbols, and 5 matching portrait symbols award between 30x and 100x the bet. The Cash symbol is a ghost, and the Wild collects the values of the Cash symbols.
Ghost Father has a classic setup with 5-reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines. It is available on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices for 20p to £100 per spin. The volatility is high, with an RTP of 96.3 and a max win capped at 10,000x the bet.
Gameplay and Features
Ghost Father features include Wilds, Boosters, Amplifier, Free Spins, Golden Bet, and a Feature Buy option.
Wild Symbols
The Wild is a weird-looking toothless ghost that substitutes for all pay symbols except the Scatter and Cash symbols. The Wild only appears during the Free Spins feature.
Free Spins
To trigger the free spins, you’ll need 3, 4 or 5 Scatters for 7, 9 or 12 free spins, respectively. The Wilds are present during the feature, and if they land, they substitute for all symbols (except the Scatter or Cash symbols) to help form winning combinations. If Cash symbols are present on the reels and a Wild symbol lands, it collects the Cash symbol values for an instant payout.
The Cash symbols are worth between 5x to 1000x and can land with a Booster attached. The Boosters are Lightning, Gems or Coins. The Lightning Booster is the most lucrative as it enhances the Wild multiplier.
During the Free Spins, collecting these Boosters awards:
3 Gems – Awards 3 extra spins
3 Lightnings – The Wild multiplier is boosted by 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x
3 Coins – 3-7 Cash symbols without Boosters are added to the reels
When Boosters appear, they are automatically collected and added to the relevant meter.
Amplifier
Randomly, between 3 and 8 Cash symbols, some with and some without Boosters trigger after:
6 or more Cash symbols are on the grid
There are no Wilds on the grid
A non-winning spin
Golden Bet
Players can pay 0.5x extra per spin for Wilds in the main game. This triggers a Wild collect, with the Cash symbol worth 1x to 1000x the bet.
Feature Buy
For 120x the bet, the Free Spins trigger awarding between 7 and 12 Free Spins.
Conclusion
Ghost Father by Peter & Sons is a cleverly designed slot that combines humour with a slightly whimsical theme. However, the win potential here is extremely lucrative, with a max win of 10,000x up for grabs.
The Free Spins is the place to be, thanks to extras like the Amplifiers, symbol Boosters and the Golden Bet that triggers the Wild collect feature. If you enjoy slots with a sense of fun with the potential for decent wins then Ghost Father delivers on all fronts.
