Fire in the Hole Design
This is a really great design, complimented by excellent graphics and a toe-tapping soundtrack. We are within a mine with the reels set on the back of a mining cart. There is the light in the distance, with barrels and lanterns to the sides.
The reels are set out in a 6×3 formation with 9 to K symbols as the lower values, and boots, bags, lamps, ropes and pickaxes as the higher values. The lamp is the most rewarding paying 7.5x your stake for 6 on a payline.
The wild is the dynamite detonator, known as the X-Bomb.
Gameplay and Features
Every time you form a win, winning symbols are removed from the grid and new ones fill their space. If you form another win then this continues until no more wins are formed. Winning combos also give you additional rows to increase your ways to win. You can have up to 46,656 ways to win in total.
When you land the X-Bomb wild, not only can it replace other standard symbols, but it explodes to clear all adjacent symbols out of the way, leaving only bonus symbols. It comes with a 1x increasing multiplier and continues as long as you form wins.
When you land 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols, the Lucky Wagon feature is triggered. You’ll play with 3 free spins, only have coins and blanks on the reels, and have a range of modifiers activated throughout. The modifiers change as the cart speeds through the mine. There are some brilliant prizes up for grabs here and it’s a really exciting feature.
Verdict
This slot looks great and the gameplay is excellent. The bonus features deliver non-stop action and great prizes along the way. There’s plenty happening in both the base game and bonus features and with the generous top prize, it’s certainly worth checking out.
