Eye of the Storm Design
This looks very similar to the majority of other Egyptian themed slots, but with a lot more detail which makes all the difference. There are 2 stone columns either side with hieroglyphs, and in the background are stone buildings, palm trees and dust clouds, kicked up by the storm that is overhead.
The symbols are the J to A royals as the lower values, along with ankh crosses, scarab beetles, fans, vultures, the Eye of Horus, cheetahs and the Eye of Ra. The latter pays the most and 5 on a payline pays 50x your stake.
The pyramid is the scatter and Cleopatra is the wild.
Gameplay and Features
There are 2 main bonus features, the first occurs when you land the Cleopatra wild. This expands to turn the full reel wild and if you land 3 wilds on different reels, you can end up with 3 fully wild reels.
At least 3 scatters trigger the free spins round where you progress up through 6 levels. You start with 12 free spins and as you go through the levels, the symbols gradually transform into higher value symbols until you reach the 6th level where all symbols become the Eye of Ra. You can also re-trigger this round over and over.
Verdict
This is a superb looking slot, but it’s just a shame that there is nothing innovative to make it really stand out. The theme is so popular, just brilliant graphics aren’t enough to cut it. However, there’s plenty of action and the top prize is certainly worth a spin or two.
