As the name firmly suggests, Eye of Horus is yet another addition to the endless stream of slot games based on the theme of Ancient Egypt.
Coming from Blueprint Gaming, it would be fair to assume that this will be a slot filled with features, as is the nature of the developer, but Eye of Horus takes a far simpler approach.
So, with a played out concept and a simple approach to gameplay, is this slot worth playing?
About the slot
With five reels and 10 paylines, Eye of Horus is playable from 10p to £100 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
If you were hoping for an innovative and creative take on the concept in the design here, you will be disappointed, as there’s nothing exceptional here at all.
A basic, and frankly quite dull design, the sandstone style reels contain the tradition J, Q, K, and A filler symbols playing the lower values, as well as various hieroglyphs, with the Eye of Horus being, unsurprisingly, the highest value symbol, paying out 50x your stake for five on a payline.
The wild symbol lands on all reels, and when it does, will expand to fill the whole reel, exchanging for all symbols but the scatter.
Gameplay
Land three or more scatter symbols for 12 free spins and up to 50x your stake (for five symbols) with the expanding wild feature at play throughout.
Every time a wild lands on the reels, it will upgrade the lowest value themed symbol, as well as adding extra free spins, land a few of these, and you could find yourself picking up some big wins.
This is a strong feature, but it’s also the only one, and with very little else going on to keep this slot interesting, it doesn’t feel like enough.
