Dreamzone from gaming provider ELK Studios is a cluster pays video slot with a space inspired theme. Special features include free drops, cascades, a Dream feature and Trigger Bonus Drops with a multiplier of up to 512x.
About
Dreamzone has is a medium to high variance video slot with RTP set at 96% and played on a 5×5 grid. Bets range from 20p up to £100 per spin across all devices and the Cluster Pay mechanic creates the wins. A fast paced, synthesiser soundtrack compliments the 80’s inspired neon graphics.
Reels are set in a dark, star filled sky with neon light beams crossing the screen. Transparent reels and are filled with brightly coloured gemstone symbols, the higher paying symbols are in 3D and the red gemstone is the most lucrative paying 100x your stake for a cluster of 11 or more. A ‘W’ is the Wild symbol.
Gameplay and Features
The game uses an Avalanche feature, when 3 or more matching symbols create a win, these symbols then explode and new symbols fall into place, potentially creating new wins.
Up to 5 Dream Features are collected when you find a winning combination, they help when you don’t get a win.
The features collected are:
Symbol Explode feature – up to 4 symbols are taken away.
Wilds feature – up to 5 wild symbols are added.
Symbol Upgrade feature – a symbol is upgraded.
Symbol Scatter feature – 1 symbol pays as if it was a scatter, so no cluster is needed.
Bonus Drops feature is triggered when all symbols are removed off the grid, you are given 3 free drops with a multiplier of 2x. There are 9 levels to climb each time you clear the grid. Dream features are also in play, the levels are:
Level 1 gives a 2x multiplier and 3 drops
Level 2 gives a 4x multiplier and 6 drops
Level 3 gives an 8x multiplier and 9 drops
Level 4 gives a 16x multiplier and 12 drops
Level 5 gives a 32x multiplier and 15 drops
Level 6 gives a 64x multiplier and 18 drops
Level 7 gives a 128x multiplier and 21 drops
Level 8 gives a 256x multiplier and 24 drops
Level 9 gives a 512x multiplier and 27 drops
Dreamzone is a bright, colourful slot but seems a little dated. There are a few different features which I really enjoyed, if you can climb the levels in the Bonus Drop feature, there are huge multipliers that could see wins of up to 2,500x your stake.
