Dolphin King from Vegas Technology is a 5 reel and 25 pay-line video slot. If players want to activate all 25 pay-lines they can do so by clicking on the ‘BET MAX’ button. The coin denomination and the bet per line are identical in this slot game because it has a fixed wager of one coin per line. There is no progressive jackpot and no bonus game on the second screen.
Theme
Dolphin King has an ocean theme and the reels are set at the bottom of the ocean. The background of the reels has graphics of the reeds, the fish, the chest full of pearls and air bubbles and the Dolphin King himself in the top left corner.
Symbols
The Dolphin King is the wild symbol. The Pearl is the scatter symbol. The other symbols on the reels enhance the ocean theme and they include two kinds of exotic fish, a shell and a starfish. The high value cards from nine to ace are also symbols on the reels.
The Dolphin King and the Pearl are the most important symbols on the reels and are animated when making up winning combinations. The Dolphin King appears to issue a royal command in his squeaky chatter. When two or more Pearl symbols appear on the reels they light up the background and make a gurgling sound.
Wild
The Dolphin King is the wild symbol. It substitutes for all other symbols on the reels to help make winning combination except for the Pearl symbol. It also acts as a 2x multiplier. When five symbols appear in an active pay-line it offers the highest fixed jackpot of 5000 coins. The second largest fixed jackpot is 1500 coins. However if this is completed with the help of the wild symbol it is doubled to 3000 coins. The Dolphin King symbol appearing simultaneously anywhere on reels 1 and 5 triggers the free spins and 20 free spins are offered at doubled payouts. The free spins can be re-triggered.
Scatter
The Pearl is the scatter symbol. Two or more Pearl symbols scattered anywhere on the reels offer scatter payouts that are multiplied by total bet. In Dolphin King the scatter symbols do not trigger the free spins bonus round.
The auto play feature offered in Dolphin King is very comprehensive. Apart from setting the number of spins, players can set the time between spins. This way they can control the speed of the game at least in auto play mode. In regular play players can turn off the spin animations from the options menu.
