Given the immense success that IGT’s Da Vinci Diamonds has enjoyed, it’s surprising that the famous inventor, scientist, and the original Renaissance Man has not been the subject of more online slot games.
Playtech have clearly noticed this gap in the market too, and they have released Da Vinci’s Vault to attempt to capitalise on the opportunity.
About the slot
As you may have guessed from the name, this slot is set in a vault, with symbols on the reels including the Mona Lisa, as well as various classical objects and Da Vinci sketches.
The lower value symbols are playing cards, with the symbols designed to match the theme, but it’s still a bit of a shame all things considered, when there are so many images that could’ve been incorporated that fit the theme.
This five-reel, 20 payline slot looks great though, and is playable from 20p up to £100 per spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
Gameplay
There’s a high roller mode here, which ups the wager bracket to between £2 and £1,000 a spin, but this should be handled with care!
Land three Cryptex symbols and you’ll trigger the free spins feature, which can have unlimited spins and an entirely wild reel throughout, which is impressive, but it is rare that this triggers.
There’s also the Scatter feature here, which occurs at random during the base game, the compass coin scatter symbol gives two to four additional scatters, which can be exciting as five on a payline will give you 50x your wager.
Da Vinci Vaults is an interesting game with a lot going on, especially considering that the features are somewhat altered in high roller mode, but there is also enough to enjoy if you choose to play in normal mode for smaller amounts.
