Theme

Cupid’s Arrow has a Valentine’s Day theme with it’s very red and pink reels. Symbols on the reels add to the Valentine’s feel of the game and include, Roses, Lips, Candy Box, Valentines Day Card, Rose Petals, Couple, Ring, 14 February, Teddy Bear and Love Heart. There is also a Gift Box symbol that triggers the free spins bonus round and the Bonus Heart triggers the bonus game on the second screen. Cupid with his arrow is the wild symbol. The Gift Box is the scatter symbol and the Bonus Heart is the bonus symbol.

 

Wild

Cupid is the wild symbol. The wild symbol substitutes all other symbols on the reels other than the scatter symbol to help complete winning combinations. It will double any payouts when it substitutes to make a winning combination. Five Cupid symbols appearing in an enabled pay-line will offer a fixed jackpot of 10,000 coins.

Scatter

Cupid’s Arrow has a scatter symbol which is the Gift box. Two or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels result in scatter payouts. Five Gift Box scatter symbols have a payout of 500 coins. The free spins feature is triggered when 3 or more scatter symbols appear on the reels.

Free Spins

The free spins feature is triggered when you get 3 or more of  the Gift Box scattered anywhere on the reels. You will automatically get 15 free spins and come with a 3 x multiplier. The free spins can be re-triggered during the free spins round but these additional free spins are at normal payout.

Bonus

The Bonus Heart symbol appearing simultaneously on reels 2 and 4 triggers the bonus game on the second screen. There is a pyramid on the second screen that has gift boxes in each level. You get to choose a gift box from the bottom level. It will reveal a heart. If the heart displays a cash prize the player can move further up the pyramid and can carry on going to try and reach the top. If the heart is busted then the bonus game is over and you will be taken back to the normal game.

The animations in Cupid’s Arrow are subtle but entirely appropriate to the Valentines Day theme. The Cupid fires a heart from his bow, the Couple embrace and kiss and the Rose bud blossoms into a flower. These animations add charm to the slot game. The background music is appropriate but the music during the spins and announcing the winning combinations could have been softer given that the theme is Valentines DayCupid with his arrow is the wild symbol.
