Reflex gaming are hoping to improve on a previous release with an improved RTP and better gameplay, with Celtic Spirit Deluxe. This is a low to medium variance game, set on a 5×3 grid with 20 betways. You can play on any device and it features wild and scatter symbols, free spins and random rewards.
Celtic Spirit Deluxe Design
Celtic Spirit Deluxe has an Irish Druid feel to it, with the rolling Irish countryside, a babbling stream and misty views in the background. There is also a beautiful Celtic red-haired lady who is a bonus symbol, featuring throughout. The HD graphics are sharp and bold and overall, this is a nice, solid design.
The reels have a gold frame, with the J to A royals, a white wolf, a stag, a forest creature, a shield, a ruby ring and the game logo, make up the symbols.
The Celtic symbol is the wild and can replace all others except the Celtic lady bonus symbol.
Gameplay and Features
There is a portrait of the Celtic lady that sits above the reels which is actually a mini reel. It activates randomly in the base game and spins sideways, giving you either a 2x to 5x multiplier, or from 3 to 9 wilds.
The Celtic lady also triggers the free spins round if you land her on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels on a single spin. You’ll start with 6 spins and also receive a payout. A sticky wild will appear on the central reel and stays sticky for the full free spins round. The mini reel can also trigger randomly to award additional free spins.
Verdict
This is definitely an improvement on the first Celtic Spirit slot and the RTP is 1% higher which is a bonus. The design is nice and the mini reel is a great new addition. The main downside is that the base game is what offers the highest payout potential, rather than the bonus rounds.
