Cauldron Design
Visually this is pretty impressive, with crystal clear graphics that have a fun cartoon style to them. The 5×3 reels sit above a bubbling cauldron which is emitting light. Just above, you can see the white beard and mouth of the wizard who has a hazy green light around him. The main background is purple and there are branches and leaves around the edge.
Symbols are the lower value mushrooms, apple cores, ginseng, a blue berry and Venus fly traps. These are joined by higher value spiders, bats, wasps, frogs and rats, worth between 9x and 50x your stake. The wild is the gold coin and the bottle scatter symbols are collected in the meter to the side.
Gameplay and Features
The wild can replace all regular symbols but only lands on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th reels.
When you land at least 3 bottle scatters, you’ll trigger the free spins round. You’ll start with 10 free spins and on each spin, a lower value symbol is removed. If higher value symbols form a win, you’ll receive a 2x multiplier which can lead to some decent wins.
When wild gold coins land, they’re collected in the meter. When you have 750, this activates the Super Bonus Round. Here, you’ll play with 10 free spins, but all lower value symbols are removed at the start and the 2x multiplier is applied at the beginning, increasing the amount you win.
Verdict
Cauldron is a pretty simple game with no complicated features but is still really fun and enjoyable. Visually it is impressive and there are some nice wins to be had in the free spins rounds.
