Bally made their name as a software provider in the land based casinos of Vegas and still have a strong presence there, but they have equalled this reputation online by releasing some top quality slots.
Many of Bally’s online titles started life as land based games, and Cash Wizard is one of these, and is one of the most cheerful games you will ever play.
Design and theme
The problem with being cheerful, is that in certain contexts it is difficult to not also be irritating, and Cash Wizard does not manage to avoid this particular pothole.
The soundtrack grates immediately, and in a Bally tradition that few have ever understood, the game talks at you a lot, in an incredibly annoying voice that will make you almost regret having picked up a win!
The colour scheme is strong and effective, and the flower and plant covered background is attractive, but little can help you to look past how painstakingly happy all of the characters are, this is not a game it’s easy to play for any length of time.
Gameplay
There are a lot of features here, which help you get through the gameplay while trying your best to ignore the sound effects.
There is a free spins bonus feature, and a mystery wheel that can pay out nicely if it lands the right way. You’ll also find some nice additional touches like mystery ink, magic potions, and wizard wilds.
There’s a lot of different ways to win at Cash Wizard, and if you play for a while, you could see your balance start to grow to a very pleasant point.
However, this involves playing the game for an extended period, and as stated above, this is really not easy. A very good game, ruined by a terrible theme.
