The gold-framed transparent reels are set against the beautiful turquois sea. The graphics are superb. The sea looks like real video footage and there is a ship and some mountains in the distance. The symbols on the reels are bright and highly detailed, and there is a jolly pirate themed soundtrack to accompany the action.
Symbols include the 9 to A royals on coloured gems, which are joined by a treasure chest, an anchor, a bottle and male and female pirates. The later are the highest value, paying up to 100x your stake for 5 on a payline.
The wild is Captain Venture himself, and he replaces all other symbols except the scatter which is the ship’s wheel.
Gameplay and Features
There are 4 bonus features which are triggered at random.
The Anchor drop respins can occur any time the anchor symbol lands and awards a respin. The sea change feature means the reels sink under the water and when they immerge, new symbols will have been added.
The treasure chest bounty feature will add a treasure chest at random, which then adds additional gems to the reels.
The X marks the spin respins occur when a treasure map lands and you also have a wild on the reels. A wheel will appear and spins to reveal a modifier and then you’ll respin the reels again to determine your prize.

Verdict
