Ancient Eclipse Design
This is a stunning looking slot with superb graphics which are ultra-crisp and clear. We’re in an ancient temple set deep in the jungle with vines and plants growing round the stone columns. There is a driving drum beat soundtrack to accompany the visuals and all the symbols are set within the stones of the temple.
Symbols are made up from spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs card suits. These are accompanied by carvings of a tiger, eagle, crocodile and two different ancient gods. The god with the red eyes is the most valuable, paying 5x your stake for 5 on a payline.
The sun is the wild and pays out 10x your stake for a full payline, and also substitutes any other symbol.
Gameplay and Features
When moon symbols land, the position can transform into a sun frame. If you then land another moon in that frame, you’ll activate the Eclipse feature. All positions with either a moon or sun frame become wilds and hopefully land you a win. If there is more than 1 moon on the reels, you’ll also receive a multiplier worth the same as the number of moons you landed.
The scatter symbol is the headdress and 3 on a spin triggers the Locked Frame Free Spins feature, starting off with 12 free spins. Any existing wilds will turn into a sticky sun frame and this stays in place throughout the feature. Any moons that land in these frames, trigger the above Eclipse feature and if you landed a moon but not in the sun frame, you’ll still receive an extra spin.
Verdict
Visually, this slot packs a punch. It’s superb. Gameplay is slightly different to what we’re used to, but it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it. The main action comes from the two bonus features and we’re sure players will love this slot.
