Elk Studios are not the first software provider many of us would think of first, but every time a new game comes out from this developer it finds a strong, positive reaction from the online slot game playing community.
This is the case with Wild Toro, a five-reel, 178 ways to win slot based around Spanish matadors with a real sense of fun to it.
How it looks
This is a great looking slot game, the cartoon-like characters of the matador and the bull are a perfect match for the theme, as is the soundtrack and bullring image in the background of the slot.
Bright and bold colours have always been the order of the day with Elk, and that’s exactly what you get here. A strong colour scheme which carries the playful tone of the slot to perfection.
Essentially, this is a really pretty looking slot.
Gameplay
Looking good is all well and fine, but it is within the gameplay features that a game’s success is made or broken.
The Toro Walking Wild feature is a nice touch, when the bull symbol lands on the reels, it moves from reel to reel through four re-spins, if there are matadors on the reels, the bull will charge at them, causing all symbols between the two to become wild. If you have a couple of matadors on the reels, this can be very useful.
You’ll also enjoy the Matador Respins Challenge. Land three matador symbols on the reels and they will remain sticky for three respins, land another matador, get another respin. It can be very profitable if the Toro Walking Wild feature triggers during this round.
