Wild Drops Design

With the action taking place underground, you may expect a rough and gritty design, but it’s quite the opposite. There’s a mystical atmosphere with a hazy blue light all around and a rather tranquil soundtrack as you play. You’ll see tracks along the front of the reels and stone steps with carts full of gems in the background.

Symbols consist of various coloured gems with the crystal quartz being the most valuable, and the gold nugget is the wild. This can replace any regular symbol to help you win and payline of these awards 25x your stake.

Gameplay and Features

Wins are formed when you land at least 3 to 5 symbols on a payline. Then the winning gems are removed from the grid and the symbols above drop down to fill their space. Unlike the usual cluster pays mechanic, new symbols don’t drop down from the top, because the aim is to clear your grid completely and be rewarded with a 5x multiplier at the end.

On the grid you’ll find gold coins hidden under the gems. When you uncover them, they’re collected in the meter to the side. If you discover 5 on a spin, you’ll trigger the free spins round where you’ll receive 5 free spins and a 10x multiplier in play if you manage to clear the grid. The central reel is filled with wilds on every spin to increase your chances of winning.

Verdict

Wild Drops has a beautiful design and theme, but the gameplay is very simple with the aim to clear the grid. A few modifiers would have made it a little more exciting but it’s a solid effort a great for casual players.
