What the Fox Megaways

I bet you now have the song in your head just from reading the title?! What the Fox Megaways is a high volatility slot, released by Red Tiger in May 2021. It features a bonus wheel, multipliers, scatters, wilds, free spins, the megaways mechanic and the cascading wins mechanic.

With HTML5 technology, it’s optimised for play on all devices, with bets from 10p to £10 per spin and a top prize of 10474x your stake.

What the Fox Megaways Design

There’s plenty happening here as we’re in Las Vegas with all the bright lights and Vegas imagery you can muster. There’s a limo to the left and right of the reels, with a fox on the billboard and glitz and glamour all around.

The 6×7 reels consist of A to 10 symbols in a fairly basic font, along with a glass of whisky, a wad of cash, a red car and a gold medallion. The latter is the most valuable paying 20x your stake for 6 on a payline. The fox is the wild and there’s also a scatter.

Gameplay and Features

The cascading reels feature occurs when you land a win and sees the winning symbols removed, with new ones cascading down to fill their spaces. If another win is formed, this happens again and again until there are no more wins.

When you land a full reel of wilds, the Wily Wilds feature comes into play. Mr Fox increases the megaways on each symbol by up to 7x and if you managed to land 3 stacked wilds on a single spin, you can get up to a 343x multiplier, with the 7x7x7 multiplier in play.

At least 3 scatters trigger the free spins round where you’ll spin the bonus wheel to reveal your prize. You’ll receive between 5 and 20 free spins along with a multiplier between 2x and 10x This multiplier increases by 1x on each free spin.

Verdict

What the Fox Megaways is a bold, flashy slot with plenty going on to keep you engaged. There’s nothing new in terms of gameplay, but there’s some decent wins and plenty of action.
