Valhalla Gold has an unusual feel to the design. The graphics are good, but the mix of colours and symbols has a look of an older cartoon. Still, it’s eye-catching with nice animations. The 5×3 reels look to be set inside a cave, with a red glow all around and a hammer-wielding female Viking warrior to the left.
On the 5×3 reels sit the regular 10 to A royals along with the premium helmet, axe, a bow and arrow, totem idols and a large horn. The Viking lady is the wild and the shield is the bonus/scatter symbol.
Gameplay and Features
As you play, any symbol can land stacked and when they do, the Reel Copy feature comes into play. The staked reel is copied and applied to up to all the rest of the reels to try and form a win. If it does, the reels then expand to 5×6 which gives you 50 paylines.
When you land 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols, this activates the free spins round, giving you 5, 6 and 8 free spins respectively. But if you land stacked bonus symbols, you can get up to 200 free spins with the additional paylines coming into play. If you win 25 free spins or more, you’ll have the choice of spins mode which are:
Basic Spins – where you just play through the free spins awarded
Easy Spins – where you have half of the free spins won, but the Reel Copy feature triggers more frequently
Super Free Spins – here you only have 1/3 of your spins but receive a 3x multiplier
