Pay, Row Swap, Wild, and Locked Wild symbols can land as 2×2 symbols, paying the combined value of the 1×1 symbols they occupy. If a 2×2 symbol cannot fully drop from the Cool Reel, it splits into individual 1×1 symbols so part of it can enter play. Any empty spaces left beneath a large symbol are filled with matching 1×1 symbols.

Cool Reel

The Cool Reel sits above the main grid and adds symbols to the grid after a win. The Cool Reel contains feature symbols, empty ice cubes, and blank spaces.

After a winning combination, the winning symbols disappear, and the Cool Reel drops symbols down to fill the empty spaces. New symbols always enter from the right, pushing existing symbols left. This continues for as long as new wins are created.

⚡ Mystery Symbols

When the cascades end, the Mystery Symbols transform into a random paying symbol or feature symbol.

✅ Golden Symbols

Pay symbols can appear as Golden Symbols with a multiplier based on their vertical position. Symbols on the top row apply a 2x multiplier, which increases by 1 for each row below, up to 6x on the bottom row. When multiple Golden Symbols are part of the same win, multipliers in the same column are added together, while multipliers from different columns are multiplied.

Row Swap selects one paying symbol on its row and transforms every symbol on that row to the same pay symbol. If the selected symbol is the Flamingo, Toucan, Wild Egg, or a wild, the entire row turns wild. Multiple Row Swap symbols on the same row; their effect transforms corresponding columns. Large symbols are replaced, and if a position is affected twice by Row Swap, it upgrades into a wild. Wilds are never replaced; Pearls and Scatters are not included here.

Wild Symbols substitute for all regular paying symbols. When a win is made with Wilds only, they pay the same value as the highest-paying symbol.

Locked Wilds remain on the reels for the number of wins displayed on the symbol.

Character Features

Tropicool 5 introduces four character-led features that can trigger:

Wild Birds hatch from Wild Eggs and act as large wild symbols. They can cover between two and five positions across a row and remain sticky until they are involved in a win.

✅ Elmo Drop

When Elmo collects a Pearl, there is a chance the Elmo Drop will trigger. This removes all paying symbols from the top three rows, allowing new symbols to fall from the Cool Reel, often creating additional wins.

⭐ Mystery Crocodile

The Mystery Crocodile appears as a large symbol covering all six reels and two rows. It turns every symbol directly beneath it into Mystery Symbols, increasing the chance of repeated wins.

Free Spins

Landing three scatter symbols triggers six Free Spins. Each additional scatter adds three more spins, up to a maximum of fifteen.

During the Free Spins round, a persistent win multiplier is active. It begins at 1x and increases by between 1x and 3x when multiplier symbols land. Extra Free Spins are awarded when the Cool Reel drops Extra Drop symbols, awarding between 1 and 3 extra spins.
