Typically, Halloween is all about dressing up and trick-or-treating while visiting houses in the neighbourhood. Red Tiger has executed the design of Tricks and Treats perfectly.
A house trimmed up with fairy lights and carved pumpkins sit in the background of the slot. The reels are encased in a tree-like structure and on the reels, there are the low-value card suits, a candle, a spider, a ghost, and a cat with a hat. The latter is the most lucrative awarding 2x up to 10x for five matching symbols in a combination.
Gameplay & Features
First up is the Trick feature, as many as 4 Trick symbols can land on the reels delivering a cash prize between 1x up to 25x the bet. These symbols do not create winning paylines.
When Trick symbols land they turn wild and can reveal a multiplier up to 3x the bet. The multiplier is applied to a win on that spin. If multiple Trick symbols are present on the reels their values are added up and applied.
3 or more Scatters trigger up to 15 free spins. Once this feature is triggered, the scatters do not remain on the screen, and the feature cannot be retriggered.
The trick symbols that do have a multiplier value are accumulated and awarded at the end of the round. There’s a maximum of 15x multiplier and this resets after the feature ends.
Verdict
As we have come to expect from Red Tiger, the design and theme is excellent. The graphics are superb and suit the Halloween theme perfectly. The unique features deliver engaging gameplay throughout, it’s a shame the top prize is a little on the low side, however, it’s well worth a spin or two if not for the fantastic imagery.
