Symbols on the reels include five low-paying card suits, and 5 high-paying characters worth 1-4x the bet for 5 on a payline.
Gameplay
If you are familiar with NoLimit City’s slots you’ll know from experience they can be complicated.
First up are the stacked wilds that nudge for full visibility. Each position they nudge the multiplier increases by 1+. XNudge wilds land on the middle three reels, if more than one lands on a spin their multiplier values are added together.
Regular wilds land on reels 2-5 and Splitting wilds on the middle 3 reels. If a Splitting wild lands, it splits all the other symbols that landed on the reel during the spin, creating double the number of symbols.
The XSplit wild lands on the 5th reel only and these count as two symbols. Once landed, symbols in some of the rows to the left of the wild split 4 ways. If a symbol has previously been split it splits again. If the XSplit splits an XNudge wild the multiplier doubles.
There are two types of scatters, the Hand Em’ High only lands on reels 2, 3, and 4 and the Boothill Scatter on the 5th reel only. You’ll need at least 3 Hang Em’ High scatters for 8 free spins. Land 2 Hand Em’ High scatters they transform into Reel Split Wilds.
If 3 Hand Em’ High scatters land along with a Boothill scatter 10 free spins are awarded. If a Boothill scatter lands but the feature didn’t trigger it transforms into a Cowboy symbol. This Cowboy symbol then transforms into a wild on all the reels and a multiplier of 5x – 999x is applied.
Verdict
Tombstone RIP pushes the boundaries to the max in terms of design and features. Characters hanging from a noose are not what you’d normally expect to see in slot design, but NoLimit City ran with it and it’s really rather good (in a macabre way!) If you hit the max multiplier of 999x you’ll be on the right track for the top prize of 300,000x.
