If you approach the Thunderbird slot expecting the string clad puppets that you remember from childhood, you are going to be a little disappointed.
However, if you assume that Thunderbird is about the mythical Native American winged beast of great power, then you’re going to get exactly what you want out of this slot.
What you get
A Native American themed slot is nothing new, there’s a lot of them around, some, like Shaman’s Dream, enjoy immense popularity.
This makes the concept a tough one for a new slot, and Rival’s Thunderbird will have to work hard in order to stand out.
Fortunately, this five-reel, 50 payline slot is not resting on its laurels, with stunning animations, beautiful graphics, and a rather charming Native American soundtrack to help you along your way.
Symbols on the reels include a range of Native American symbols, there are also the go-to filler symbols of face cards, but even these are designed to fit within the design theme, which is a nice touch.
Features
With a house edge of 3.7%, the return to player (RTP) here is 94.64%, which is nothing to be sniffed at.
The free spins round here is where the big wins are to be found, with three, four, and five red fish symbols triggering 10, 20, and 50 free spins respectively, with a 2x multiplier at play as well.
In case that wasn’t enough for you in terms of free spins, five yellow fish symbols trigger five super spins, where there are huge wins to be picked up.
There aren’t many features past these free spins rounds, but there doesn’t have to be, this is a slot that offers comfortably enough within its gameplay, and presents it in a visually pleasing packaging, an excellent slot and one that is well worth a few spins for players of all standards.
