Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme

Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme is a new instalment in NetEnt’s popular Space Wars series, launched on August 13, 2024. The slot builds on the success of the popular Space Wars, released in 2013, and Space Wars 2 Powerpoints in 2022. This time, we get a Megaways mechanic. However, the slot remains true to its roots with the stacked symbol respins that made the original slot extremely popular.

About Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme

Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme takes players to an intergalactic spacecraft, gazing into infinity. The backdrop features a mesmerising view of distant planets and asteroid belts, immersing players in an expansive, energetic sci-fi setting.

On the reels, the low-paying symbols are represented by 6 alien characters, which award up to 0.125x for 6 of a kind. The high-payers are alien characters and red crystals, which award up to 2x for 6 of a kind. The game includes a Wild that acts as a substitute to help with winning combinations.

Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme has 6 reels with 2 to 7 rows that interchange on every spin. With a max grid formation, the ways to win can reach 117,649. Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme is available to play on desktop, tablet and mobile devices from 40p to £320 per spin. The default RTP is 96.14%, but other versions are available. It’s a low volatility slot with a max win capped at 14,400x the bet.

Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme Gameplay

The slot’s features are designed to maximise the Megaways experience and enhance the excitement on every spin. Key features include Wilds, Re-Spins and XXXtreme Spins.

Wilds

Wilds appear on reels 2, 4 and 6 during the base game and the re-spins, acting as substitutes to help win combinations.

Re-Spins

Whenever a winning combination lands during the base game, a re-spin is awarded once the win is calculated. Symbols involved in the win appear stacked for the re-spin, and a new winning combo is formed. Any wins from the re-spins are added to the win that triggered the re-spin.

XXXtreme Spins

The XXXtreme Spins can be triggered to guarantee a number of Megaways on the reels on each spin. During the XXXtreme Spins they can reach up to 117, 649 Megaways. Triggering the XXXtreme Spins costs 10x the bet for 10,000 Megaways and 75x the bet for 50,000.

Conclusion

Space Wars Megaways XXXtreme is a worthy successor to the original Space Wars and Space Wars 2 Powerpoints. The original characters are back, helping players stack up those symbols during a re-spin or persuading them to trigger the XXXtreme Spins for up to 117,649 Megaways and a chance to bag the max win of 14,400x the bet.
