Ahoy me hearties! Get those swords at the ready for Smugglers Cove, the 2021 slot release from Pragmatic Play. This new addition offers unlimited free spins, and a Treasure Bonus feature leading to big payouts.

Slot details

Smugglers Cove is a highly volatile slot played on 5 reels with 20 active paylines. Its available on desktop, tablet and mobile devices with bets ranging from 20p up to £100 per spin. The RTP is slightly above the industry average at 96.50% and a top prize of 10,000x the total bet per spin.

The design is bright and colourful, with gold framed reels located in a pirate cove overlooking the clear blue ocean as a pirate ship approaches.

Symbols are ornate low value card suits, blue, red, gold and green pirates, the latter being the most lucrative awarding x100 for 5 on a payline. The wild is the Gold Doubloon with wild written on it and the scatter is the skull and cross bones.

Gameplay

Let’s take a look at the features:

Landing 5 or more coin symbols during the base game triggers the Treasure Bonus feature and awards a cash prize between 1x and 1,000x the bet. Super coins and Super wild coins appear on the 5^th reel, and both have multipliers worth 2x up to 10x attached, these can lead the treasure bonus trail up to 10,000x the total bet.

The free spins trigger after landing 3 or more skull and bone scatters awarding between 1x and 10,000x the bet. Landing 3 on the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th reels awards a spin of the wheel awarding 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20 free spins with multipliers attached. The free spins can be retriggered by landing another 3 scatters which gives another 8 free spins.

Verdict

Smuggler’s Cove is another pirate themed slot offering nothing new in terms of features. The bigger wins come in the bonus round where the potential to win up to 10,000x the total bet is up for grabs.
