It’s Christmas, have you heard? Of course you have! Wherever you turn at the moment you can’t escape festive decorations and songs, and the iGaming world is no different, with a smorgasbord of seasonal slot games coming from a range of software developers.
One of the most on the nose of the releases (which is really saying something!) comes from Playtech in the shape of Selfie Elfie.
About the slot
With five reels and 40 paylines, Selfie Elfie is playable from 10p to £500 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
There’s nothing that’s going to surprise you about the design here, but the title already pretty much told you that would be true.
The reels are shelves full of gingerbread men, elves, and more, with Santa being the most lucrative symbol, paying out 10x your bet for a full payline.
The Selfie Elfie (it’s a thing, apparently) plays the part of the wild, as well as substituting all but the scatter symbol, this wild will also pay out 12.5x your stake for five on a payline.
Gameplay
The Selfie Elfie Re-spins feature is good one, triggering randomly on any base game spin, a wheel will appear above the reels, with a select symbol becoming wild on the reels for a re-spin.
Land three or more of the scatter symbol and you’ll trigger the Selfie Elfie Free Games feature. Eight free spins wait for you here, with the wheel present throughout for a gunch of extra wild symbols.
Every symbol that is turned wild stays wild for the whole feature, so this can lead to some really big wins if you’re lucky, you can also trigger extra spins along the way.
Selfie Elfie may be basic in its design, but it’s gameplay is far better than it has to be, ad that’s definitely a good thing!
