Scarab Temple Design
Booongo like their Egyptian themed slots and Scarab Temple is no different. We head back to an ancient civilisation with ancient buildings in the background and a dusky night sky. The reels are set within a stone temple building and the graphics are very high quality.
At the top of the reels shows the Grand, Major and Mini jackpot totals and the bold symbols pop against the dark red background of the reels.
Symbols include J to A royals as the lower values and a Pharaoh, Horus, a Priest and Anubis as the higher value symbols. The Pyramid is the scatter and only lands on reels 2, 3 and 4. The Wild will substitute any other symbols to form winning combos. It can’t appear on the first reel though. The fire scarab as the bonus symbol and what triggers the bonus round.
Gameplay and Features
If you land scatters on the central reels, you’ll win your stake on that round and also 8 free spins. This feature can also be re-triggered.
If you land 6 or more fire scarabs, this unlocks the bonus game and sees the fire scarabs lock into place while you re spin the other reels in the hope of forming more wins. The aim is to land as many scarabs as possible to win between 1x and 25x your wager or to trigger one of the jackpot prizes showing at the top of the reels.
Verdict
This is a nice solid slot and the hold and win feature is central to the excitement. The graphics are excellent, but it’s another Egyptian themed slot without any innovative features. If you love these types of slots, it’s worth a spin, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen already.
