Santa King Megaways

Drawing its inspiration from popular title Reel King Megaways, Inspired Gaming has taken a popular slot and given it a festive makeover with Santa King Megaways. Played across 6 reels the number of symbols landing on a spin determines the number of winning ways. Features include cascading reels, expanding multipliers, free spins, and cash prizes.

As the festive season approaches, we see software providers battling it out for the top spot for Christmas slot titles. Inspired have taken a simple slot and sprinkled it with fairy dust and Christmas cheer.

About Santa King Megaways

Santa King Megaways is available to play on desktop and mobile devices from 20p up to £20 per spin. The variance sits between medium to high with an RTP of 95.65% and a top prize of 12,500x the total bet.

A simple blue palette covered in white snowflakes forms the backdrop to the game accompanied by a cheerful Christmas tune while you spin the reels. Classic fruit symbols covered in snow accommodate the reels. A bag brimming with gifts is the most lucrative awarding 50x for 6 in a combination.

Gameplay

First up are the classic cascading reels, symbols involved in a winning combination are removed and replaced by new symbols. The cascades continue until no more wins occur.

On each spin, up to six reels can be lit up gold, after each cascade you’ll hear a ding and another reel lights up gold. If all 6 reels are illuminated, you’ll trigger the Reel King feature. Another two cascades the Super King or Mega King feature activates.

After 6 or more successful cascades, the Reel King feature comes into play with three levels:

6 cascades – 1-2 Reel Kings present

7 cascades – Super King feature with 2-3 Reel Kings

8 or more cascades – Mega King with 3-6 Reel Kings.

Each Reel King comes with a mini slot game, the reels on the mini-game spin to reveal presents and prizes:

3 assorted coloured presents – £1

3 blue presents – £2

3 yellow presents – £5

3 punk presents – £10

The reels on the mini-slot games also light up and once all three are gold the free spins trail triggers, this is located above the reels. If the reels do not light up the Reel Kings disappear from the reels. If all the sets of mini reels are illuminated you advance a position on the trail, the further you advance the higher the prize.

After each successful cascade during the free spins the multiplier increases. After each cascade, the reels illuminate one by one. Once all six reels are lit up Santa awards 1, 2 3, or more free spins and a multiplier boost, this is unlimited during the free spins.

Verdict

Santa King Megaways provides plenty of action with its unique features taking a once sedate Megaways mechanic to a whole new level. The mini-games provided by the Reel Kings, coupled with the free spins and multipliers help create decent payouts of up to 12,500x the bet.
